Embracing Setbacks and Moving Forward
Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit off, not quite myself, especially when it comes to work. My partner and I recently lost our jobs, and though I’m still employed, one of my major projects was lost. It's been a tough time. Just today, I discovered that I made a mistake on a post-production project I’ve been working on for a while. There was an issue with the video format that I thought was part of the process, but I had forgotten the correct way to do it. What made it worse was that the outputs were all approved, so I assumed everything was fine. This mistake goes all the way back to June. It wasn’t the reviewer’s fault either - I should’ve double-checked my previous work for reference. I’m disappointed in myself for missing this and adding unnecessary pressure to an already packed schedule. On top of that, I offered to correct everything from June to September at no extra cost because, frankly, I wouldn’t feel right charging for work that should’ve been done correctly the first time....
